Manipulation of the law and injustice mean nothing to the voters at Galas & Batu Sapi
The two buy-elections are over and the the BN has won both, and Mahathir's famous words "Melayu senang lupa" ring out loud and clear. However it should not only apply to the Malays but should be applied to all those who voted for the BN in the recently concluded Galas and Batu Sapi by-election. They have forgotten all injustices pepetuated by the umnos through the police, the macc and the judiciary. The Indians have forgotten how their kind have been marginalised and brutalised while in lock-up. They have even forgotten the most recent case of Selvchandran who was whacked in front of his family and then kidnapped. The Chinese have forgotten the long-drawn case of Teoh Beng Hock and how the police, the macc and even the judge tried to manipulate the evidences. The Malays have forgotten the shooting of Aminulrasyid and throughout the investigation, they have tried to shift the blame to somebody else. They have forgotten the Anwar Sodomy II trial where the judge had refused to provide the relevant documents important to the defence . How can any right-thinking person ignore such injustices and let the sight of money abliterate all senses of values. Even if there is no money invovlved we should put a stop to the high-handed decisions of the umno institutions which are totally devoid of fairness and justice. But then again, what do the orang asli and the people in the jungle know about Selvachandran, Teoh Beng Hock or even Anwar? What can the outcome of the trial or investigation do to meet their needs? Nothing. So why bother. Give them cash and you have their votes. That's about sum up the reason why BN won.
