Is Samy going nuts?

Samy, oh Samy, you've really gone senile. But I suppose most senile people would have done the same. What he is actually saying is "to hell with all of you. Since I am getting out, I might as well get out with as loud a bang as possible". Your dictatorial action in sacking anyone that mouths something that you dont like, is typical of a mad and confused man. You've definately loss your sanity. The sacking of V.Mugilan, K.P Samy and G.Kumar may have been justified, but to sack your Secretary-general, Murugesu, is just uncalled for. What has he done or said? He did'nt ask you to leave and neither did he support GAS. All he did was expressed his opinion that the sacking of members should be done as a last resort. And as a leader and Sec.-Gen, he should be given that right to do so. Or issit you want dumb followers only?
But then again, maybe Samy is trying to prove, especially to Umnos, that he still has power, albeit fast declining.
What is amazing is that the other members of the CWC and the majority of the MIC members, are not speaking out. If they can't speak their minds in their own backyard, how then are they going to speak against Tai Kor, the Umnos?

The Fall of Idris Jala

When Idris Jala accepted the offer by Najib to join the BN government, I predicted that it would be the beginning of the end of his glorious image of one who brought MAS back to profitability. Many others had also expressed the same views.
With his recent annoucement that the country would go bankrupt in 2019 if subsidies were not removed, he has clearly shown that he has left his brains at home.  2019 is just a year before 2020 when the country would be declared a developed state, so how he came to such a conclusion is really baffling.  With vast natural resources at our disposal to tap into (as compared to our next door neighbour which is only a small dot)), on what basis did he base his assumptions? Moereover, the Prime Minister had announced sometime back that the country is back on the road to, not only economic recovery, but STRONG economic trecovery. So who do we believe?
In his announcement, Idris is also placing the cart before the horse. He should first be pointing out how our money is lost through corruption, leakages, commission and bale-outs. For instance, every year we lost RM20 billion through the payment of commission for building houses, stadiums and buying submarines (that cannot submerge). In short he should advise the government on how to get to the root cause of our impending bankruptcy, and not on how to deal with the symptoms. Granted that subsidies had to be removed gradually, but if he had put the horse in front (spell out the root causes of the problem) then place the cart behind (steps to take to remove the subsidies as per his announcements), then the rakyat would probably be more amiable to his plans.
Secondly, Idris has also shown his inexeperience as a government servant. He must realise that he is not dealing with a set group of people as in Shell or MAS. In such a scenerio, he being the CEO, can dictate his terms and the employees can leave or be sacked. But here he is dealing with the rakyat of Malaysia, 11.5 million work force. and he cannot employ the same tactic as he did in MAS.
Removing subsidies affect the poor. Removeing the root cause affect the rich, especially in umno.
Finally on a personal note. I have relatives and friends who worked in MAS when you were the CEO, but sad to say, most of them are embarrassed when your name is being mentioned in their presence. Do the honorable thing. Call a spade a spade, and if cannot, do the Zaid Ibrahim.

MCA's new Strategy to win back the Chinese

The new MCA President has embarked on a bold plan to win back the Chinese. He is asking the PM for RM 1 billion to buy back the Chinese. He plans to use the money to build 10 new schools and relocate 15 others apart from covering issues of economic liberalisation, human capital development and others.
These issues that are highlighted are not the fundamental issues. The fundamental issues are justice, democratic freedom, good governance, corruption. For instance the justice system sucks. How many decisions by the judges have been made in favour of the umnos or those supporting umno? Even if the initial decision was made in favour of the Opposition, this was eventually overturned by another court or the Court of Appeal, as in the cases of Nizar Jamaluddin and Tan Boon Wah. As if that is not enough, judges are now speaking on behalf of and defending the accused, as in the case of Nazri who was let off the hook for contempt.
And as you have also rightly pointed out that BN is losing Chinese support because of Ibrahim Ali and his Perkasa, so get rid of the likes of people like Ibrahim Ali.
So dont think you can buy the Chinese with umno's dirty money. Haven'y you learned anything from the Sibu by-election yet?

Dr Chua said the MCA had taken full stock of the reasons behind the fleeing Chinese support, and had incorporated the community’s needs and requests in the party’s proposal for the plan.

He pointed out that the reasons behind the failing support were due to poor implementation of government policies and a lack of government allocation for the community’s needs.

“Often it is at the implementation level that there is red tape, bureaucracy, abuse of power, delay and corruption. Sometimes, (government) officers have too much power vested in them, too much discretionary power.

“This is why the Chinese often feel they are treated like second-class citizens. It is not the policies per se because we have plenty of that but it is the problem of implementation,” Dr Chua said.

RPK's Body Guards -

RPK with his Special Force Body-Guards
Hey, Mus, want to meet these guys? Care to send your own special force, clad in balaclava suit, to try to nab RPK, as you did Anuar Ibrahim. But first get your DNA kid ready as you may not recognise your men after the encounter.
Flanked by two burley men in dark glasses, RPK  swaggered into a packed hall in London to give an account of his personal experience in campaigning for greater transparency and accountability in Malaysian politics. He further challenged  the Malaysian authorities to bring standing charges against him to the courts in the United Kingdom insisting that he would fight all the charges on a level playing field. I have high-lighted "level playing field" for the benefit of all those ball-carriers and uneducated in the umno-controlled judiciary system, who insisted that RPK be man enough to go back to face the music.

Wanna Bet?

Macc said that investigation will be carried out against Najib who has been accused of an election offence during the Sibu By-election. Macc Investigating Director, Mustaffa Ali, reiterated that Macc is 'colour blind' and would not be biased in its action.
This must be a joke. What action is he talking about ? Having said that action would be taken, he then said that whether or not there is a case would depend on the Attorney-General's office. Wanna bet that after all the sandiwara, the AG will declare NFA with an excuse that what Najib said was his own opinion or some other stupid excuses. Look, this has been done before, so investigate all you want, but we already know the result. As long as you are umno or with umno, the law is on your side, no matter what you do.

Ismail Omar, What have got to say now?

The Asst. IGP, Tan Sri Ismail Omar said,
"Raja Petra is alive and free. We have been hunting him for a while now and this is a good opportunity for us to capture him,"
"We are in touch with Scotland Yard and they know he is highly wanted in our list. A lot of effort have been put in by all parties concerned. Hopefully, if everything goes to plan, we will have him nabbed soon,".
BUT Scotland Yard says:
"there is no extradition request from the Malaysian government, nor is there any warrant of arrest issued against Raja Petra Kamarudin," The statement further added,
"there is no extradition treaty between the Malaysian and British governments so it would be extremely difficult for Malaysia to request for anyone to be extradited from the UK."
What now Ismail Omar? You've made a fool of yourself with your ignorance and stupidity. Either that or you've been lying to the rakyat all along. But I suppose you and your bosses dont care much about world opinion as long as you can do whatever you want in your little backyard.

Nazri escapes contempt motion & Bung will continue to be an MP

What else is new?  Coroner Azmil Muntapa Abas claimed that Nazri was only "expressing a personal view on the matter" regarding his accusation that Thai pathogist, Dr. Pornthip, was a liar. Imagine, instead of Nazri saying that it was his own personel opinion, the judge had taken upon himself to defend and speak on his (Nazri's) behalf. What clearer evidence do you need of a judge that has taken side. No wonder, Nazri as well as other umno leaders have arrogantly spoken and acted out of line as they know the law is theirs to play with. Another example of partiality of our Judges is the case of the Kinabatangan MP, Bung Mohktar. Judge Wan Mahyuddin Wan Muhammad, in passing the sentence, said that as an MP, he should set a good example to the people.

adding that the court needed to pass a severe penalty for society's sake. What severe penalty is he talking about? RM1000 is peanuts to Bung. And moreover we know that whatever is passed by one court will be over-ruled by another. Dung (oops Bung) will continue to serve as an MP with no shame whatsoever. This is Malaysia.

You Help me, I'll Help you. Still Not a Bribe???

In reponse to the above offer of bribe to the people of Sibu, Zaid Ibrahim
pointed out that in other countries, Najib would have been prosecuted for his act of “flouncing money and power” as means to win the by-election.
“But in this country... nothing will be done. It is truly not easy for fair laws to be carried out in Malaysia. This is because our Attorney-General, our Chief Justice, our Inspector-General of Police, our Election Commission chief and our Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission chief are all the Prime Minister’s men.
“They have forgotten the rule of law and are now just working to take care of Najib,” he said.
So how can we rakyat have respect for our Prime Minister who openly flouted the law without any feeling of shame. He said it as if it is his right and that nobody can do anything about it. No need to speculate what would have happened if such blatant offer or bribe is done by the Opposition. Shame on you MCA, MIC and Gerakan for keeping quiet. I suppose Mahathir and Ibrahim Ali will create some stupid explanations for Najib's daring offer of bribe.

Wee Choo Keong - From DAP to PKR to Independent to ???

Mr. Wee Choo Keong, let me tell you a story. There was this man who was trying to look for a perfect church to join. Finally he found one, so he thought. However the moment he joined the church, the church bercame imperfect. The man left the church and the church was back to calm waters. Now Mr. Wee, can you remove the plank in front of your eyes and see the similarities in your situation. You left DAP because you felt the leaders didn't fight too hard for you to retain a seat you won but was awarded to someone else by the court. Then you unashamedly used PKR as a party to stand for the 2008 election, and won. Now you again said that it is imperfect and thus decided to abandon ship again. But we are glad that you and the likes of Tee Beng, Zahrain  and Zulkifli left PKR, for then the party is rid of all the slime and dirt which had polluted the party.
You said that that you left because of corruption, and the sand-mining issue was the last straw. Well lets see whether you stick to your principles and remain an independent. However the moment you join BN or even become BN friendly, then you  become the greatest hypocrit because BN, especially umno, is well-known for its corruption. Anyway, for now, your credibility is zilt and you are a disgrace to your profession. Read the blogs and alternate media and you'll know what I mean.
One more thing, dont you dare criticise Tok Guru. You are not even worthy to wear his sandals.

DAP's (the rakyat's) Victory in Sibu.

I would like to echo Zorro's victory shout "Yipeeeeeeeee' and indeed a miracle did take place in Sibu. The DAP has won the Sibu Parliamentray seat and the victory was even sweeter because DAP went into a BN fortress and managed to wrestle the seat from the mighty blond raja, with a majority of 398. A win is a win no matter how small the majority. Even with the controlled postal votes, DAP still won. Thank you Sibuan, you have indeed made us proud for not submitting to the buy-election.
Anyway, we must not forget to say a big thank you to Ibrahim Ali and his Perkasa who has always been there when needed. We also must thank the Wee fella who chose a perfect time to resign from PKR thus giving the necessary push for the fence sitters to vote for DAP. Finally we must also thank the Federal government for chosing the right time to announce the burning of 5,000 copies of “Al-Kitab: Berita Baik,” a Malay-language Christian bible. We really couldn't have done it without the help from them.  Ribuan terrimakasih dan sila teruskan.

Policeman slashed by amok man

According to a MI report (here), a policeman was slashed by a man who ran amok. In such a situation where the policeman's life was being threatened, why hasn't he used his gun? It would have been justified as according to Inspector-General’s Standing Orders (IGSO), a policeman can take out his gun and use it when the "policemen believe that their lives are in imminent danger of serious injuries or death when apprehending or confronting a suspect;" and "other people’s lives are in imminent danger of serious injuries or death." The use of a firearm would have been justified here as the elements of a life threatening situation and imminent danger to other people are clearly displayed. There wont be any police bashing here. Instead the 2 poicemen should be recommended for being level headed by first trying to pacify the man who had already started running amok. However they should have first assessed the situation before approaching the man.

Pointing out Happy -trigger cops is not Police Bashing

Why is that everytime when criticism is levied at the police, those who criticise are accused of police bashing? The latest call to stop bashing the police comes from the Secretary-general of Cuepecs, Ahmad Shah Mohd. Zin. For a leader of such a big union, it is surprising that he is so narrow-minded to come to such a conclusion. Either that or he is just reading the government-controlled media which only spewed out one sided news. He should read the alternate media to gett a more balanced view. For instance, did he know that that the Negri Sembilan police chief, SAC1 Osman Salleh 1 had received praises for his humility and honesty in admitting a mistake in a recent shooting and had apologised for it. This show of professionalisn and leadership quality were commented and highlighted in some of the blogs and alternate media. But our narrow-minded Ahmad Shah who only reads the government-controlled newspapers had come to the conclusion that we are only police bashing. We are only calling a spade a spade, and we do give credit where it is due.

Well Done SAC1 Osman Salleh

Who says we are always criticising the police no matter what they do? Who says we never have a good word for the police? We are all educated Malaysians and we know when to condemn and when to give credit. We are unlike the IGP, the CPO Khalid Ibrahim, and the Home Minister, who, without any investigation, defend the action of the police. The IGP even had the gall to hold the public to ransom if we condemn the police too much.
In the latest shooting case (read here) a 17 year old was shot in the hip by the police, but the Negri Sembilan police chief, in a rare show of  compassion, has apologised.
The IGP, CPO and the Home Minister should read the comments in the report and read for themselves how SAC1 Osman Salleh (left) has received praises for his humility and honesty in admiting that a mistake has been made and has apologised for it. He is indeed a real professional and possesses the qualities that are so lacking in our leaders. First he admitted that the act was not justifiable and it was an abuse of power. Then he revealed that the  boy had never posed any danger to the officer. He has thus done much to redeem the tattered image of PDRM.
Nevertheless the cases of  trigger-happy cops are getting more frequent and alarming, and PDRM must act fast to put a stop to this. Suspending the officers or putting them behind a desk is not deterrent enough. Those found guilty should be given the maximum penalty as provided by the law.

Voice Your Change Campaign

The following invitation is self-explanatory, and deserves the full support of all Malaysians who want to see a better future for ourselves and our children.

Dear friends and family,

We, of the GEL community who brought to you E.P.I.C (Extraordinary People Impacting Community) would like to invite you to the soft launch of our 'VOICE YOUR CHOICE CAMPAIGN', at Subang Parade at 11.00 am, on the 8th of May 2010. The purpose of our campaign is to register 2 million out of the 5 million unregistered but eligible voters. In addition to this, we have already gathered a rough amount of 15 thousand people, and that is even before the soft launch.

Besides the 2million people that will be registered as new voters, it is also our aim to ignite the spirit of unity among the citizens of Malaysia. With this intention, we have created a video - "Voices" to have the people questioning the status quo and their role in it. This video will be aired during the soft launch and it was directed by one of our local talents, Fazil Fuad. The soft launch will be MC’ed by our local up and rising comedian, Kuah Jenhan. The soft launch itself is set to be an exciting and meaningful event and we would like you to join us.

We would also like to extend our invitation to your close ones to join us on our epic journey to do something great for the nation. It will not be an easy one, but it will certainly be an amazing one. Imagine what we can do by uniting others and also the experience we can gain from being a part of such an amazing movement. We look forward to seeing you there with much anticipation. For further information on our cause or us, feel free to visit us at our website at .
Best regards

Aminulrasyid Amzah killing - Why questioned Azamuddin 3 times?

Having trigger-happy cops running around is bad enough, but we also have incompetent investigators taking charge of the investigation. First we have the AG returning the investigative reports for more details. Now we have the police recalling the 15 year old witneess Azamuddin Omar, for the third time for further questioning. Why can't they get it right the first time? It gives rise to all kinds of speculation and when this happens, we are warned not to speculate. But the police's action has given reasons to speculate. In this latest meeting, they wanted to know whether the final shot was fired before or after the car crashed into the drain. They also wanted to know how many shots were fired. Asking a traumatised boy all these questions means only one thing - to intimidate and trap him into saying different versions at different times. Gee, there were several policemen chasing and shooting him. Grill them instead and see whether their stories are consistent. For goodness sake, with bullets flying around, you expect a 15 year old to be calm and count the number of shots. Leave the frightened kid alone and get on with the real task of indentifying the murderer.
Finally the police PR department must really be sleeping on the job. If this is the way to garner public sympathy and support, they are doing a fine job at it. Carry on then.

The Killing of Aminulrasyid Amzah

How is that most people, the BN people in particular, can see the speck in someone's eye but cannot see the plank in front of theirs. They criticise without hesitaion and qualms of shame what the PR coalition is doing, when they themselves are guilty of committing the same crime.
Take for instance the case of the fatal shooting of 15-year old, Aminulrasyid Amzah. The IGP has accused the opposition of making statements that might prejudice the case. Then we now have this MCA NGO liaison bureau chief Datuk Ti Lian Ker backing the police. Aren't they committing the same offence?  So it is a case of we can do it but you cannot do it? Hey Datuk, I wonder if you would sing the same tune if  your son were killed this way. You had accused the family of using the media but you had conveniently left out the accusation and action of the police such as using the car to run them down and having found a matchet in the car.
Let me ask you and the IGP the following. Aren't the police told to shoot only when shot at? Were the 2 occupants shooting at the police? The police also accused the occupants of using the car as a weapon to run them down. But the victim's car was in front and the police car was chasing them. From these 2 simple observations, it is already obvious that the police had not followed procedure and exceeded their power. As for the IGP's reponses to all the media statements, it is also obvious he is not professional in his ways and attitudes. As a police chief, he lacks magnanimity, compassion and a balanced view.
