PM's Truths and Wishful thinking

Speaking at the Sabah’s Liberal Democratic Party 20th. Annual general meeting in Kota Kinabalu, PM Najib pointed out a couple of truths and a couple of wishful thinking.

The truth first. The lesson of LDP’s fate in Japan must be fully understood by all Barisan parties. He is definitely right at that, but how the Barisan parties are going to understand is another matter. One way I would suggest is for him and his image enhancing people to read the comments of the bloggers, Malaysiakini and Malaysia Today.
It is not that the Opposition is strong but it is because we are weak. It is not because the Opposition is popular but we have become unpopular.
Another truth well uttered. But he should not stop at that. He should go on and reveal why the BN is weak and why it is unpopular. May I can help here. Think of the MACC's selective persecution, think of the police’s selective arrests and prosecution and think of the dishonorable umno judges that gave twisted judgments.
Now for some wishful thinking.
If we keep serving the people, we will win the next election hands down and the next and next.
You may get your votes from the rural folks, but you will never get them from the well-informed urban people as long as you serve the people the umno way. And after 50 years, we all know what is the umno way.
Issues of race and religion should be discussed behind closed doors and the solutions should be agreeable to all.
Well said, but what about the use of the word Allah. Is it agreeable to all?
We will create a record..............as the longest ruling party in the world.
Carry on dreaming.
Heed the warning given by the new Japanese Prime Minister, Yukio Hotoyama, and that is “the LDP lost its over five-decades of rule because it was out of touch with the ordinary Japanese”. Ordinary means all ordinary and not just the rural ordinary. Maybe then your dream may just become a reality.
