Success of Penang PR - Envy of umnos

I was in Penang for 4 days for a meeting and to see the sights. Yes the traffic jam is still giving everyone a head-ache. But according to a relative who is a local, the bus transport system run by Rapid, has improved tremendously. To verify his claim, I watched the regularity of the buses prying the Pulau Tikus area, and was impressed that would-be passengers need not have to wait long for their buses. Moreover I was also told that the bus drivers are more friendly and ever willing to give the right information on the correct bus to take. All bus routes end at the Jetty, so I was told, and from here one can even take a free ride on the Heritage bus to visit the heritage sites.
Among its other achiements, Penang is the first state or federal government in Malaysia to gain praise from Transparency International.
Penang is the first state to hold public open tenders of government projects and procurement contracts and also conducting it through the internet(e-tender).
But Pakatan Rakyat Penang’s greatest achievement to Malaysia and greatest threat to BN’s stranglehold on power is to prove that the right policies can make Malays compete and succeed against the best in the world.
It is most probably because of all these successes and achievments that had caused the bn/umnos and people like Ibrahim Ali to go green in envy. This envy and jealousy have manifested in their intense obsession to create as much disharmony as they could to unsettle the peaceful situation. One recent example is the trivial action of Gerakan to make a report to the MACC on PR's award of RM100 to all registered senior citizens of the state. Come on, this is something positive being done and yet the BN is complaining. But on the other hand we should be thankful to these goons for exploiting trivialities as this is exposing to the people their childishness and at the same time helping the PR to enhance its power .
