After having declared that the government cannot prevent people from demonstrating, resulting in the assault of churches and a silk temple, our leaders are going round doing damage control. One English daily quoted the deputy PM as saying in London that he received many sms from Sabah and Sarawak Christians that 'things that had happened would not have happened in the first instance if they, the Christians had 'just agreed not to use the word "Allah". It is really shocking that he has made such a statement, as it is the government who started it all when the previous home minister first put a ban on the use of the word. Many readers of the net have also come to the conclusion that things that had happened would not have happened in the first instance if they, the government people, especially Syed Akbar, had just said we are not going to raise the issue. The Sabah & Sarawak Christians are very angry with the government's stand and had indicated in no uncertain terms their anger as can be read here, here, here and here., and many more.
He may be able to hoodwink with his words and government controlled media, but in the end, the people will find out the truth through the internet.
