The Allah issue - Battle rages on.

The Home Minister said that he would appeal against the decision made by the High Court to allow the Herald to use the word 'Allah' in its publication. I would like to ask the Home Minister who he is Home Minister to? Is he the Home Minister to the just the Umnos and a small number  of Muslims whose faith is so week that the use of the word 'Allah' can confuse them . Isn't he the Home Minister for ALL Malaysians. So why is he going to appeal ? Can he then appeal for the Catholics if the decision is later overturned?  For the life of me, I can't fathom how the use of the word  can be a threat to national security. This is paranoia in the highest degree! The only way the usage becomes a threat is when people like Pasir Salak MP Datuk Tajuddin Abdul Rahman, who said the High Court's decision  would not solve anything but only ignite racial and religious tension. How can there be racial and religious tension if Tajuddin and people like him dont raise the issue and make the suggestion of dissentment? As a matter of fact, most of these racial and religious issues are raised by the so called Umno leaders whilst the ordinary folks are quite happy to let matters be. The judge has made a decision in accordance with the Federal Constitution. Is Tajuuddin or the Home Minister more learned that the judge in interpreting the Constitution? The only incitement and threat to national security here is Tajuddin's statement and that is tantamount to sedition and warrants an immediate entry into Kamunting. Others had been detained and sent to Kamunting on lesser charges than this.
