Telling the world that we are only Jagur Kampong thru stamps.

It seeems our corporate people are so eager to reward our sportsmen that they are even prepared to award performance of medeocrity. Thus to remember Malaysia's recent Suzuki Cup victory, Pos Malaysia has issued 2 sets of stamps of 6 sen denominations. A National holiday was declared and the players were given monetory rewards. The 10 teams that participate in this bi-annual Cup are all Southeast -Asian countries. So what is the big deal in defeating teams like Philippines and Myanmar. When Bapa Malaysia introduced the Merdeka tournament, Malaysia was feared by everyone, including South Korea and Japan. Now look at where we are. We were even beaten by the Vietnamese and the Philippines. For the sake of the country's dignity, commemorate events that we have been continuously successful, and not just a flash from the frying pan.
Issue lah stamps to commemorate our continued dominance during the era of Moktar Dahari, Soh Chin Aun and Arumugam. What about Nicol David in Squash ? She has been consistently at the Number one spot in the world standing. What about Lee Chong Wei, another outstanding achiever? Wouldn't a commemorative stamp or stamps of these outstanding profesionals do more to enhance the image of the country rather than letting the world know that we are only jagur kampong? for issuing new stamps to highlight a kampong tournament and a jagur kampong is doing exactly that.
