Branded and chained like Hard-core Criminals.
This is how our Polis Di-Raja Malaysia treated suspected Flesh traders from China - being branded and chained like animals as if being led to the slaughter house - and they had not even been charged and found guilty yet. The authorities had deprived the women of dignity when they 'branded' their bodies. They had shown a flagrant lack of decency in them. The Penang police chief Ayub Yaakob, had defended the action of marking the foreheads and chests as they feared that they would run away. But why the forehead and the chest and not the hand as was normally done. Meanwhile the Malaysian Civil Liberties Movement (MCLM) had rightly questioned whether the police' actions were part of the force's standard operating procedures (SOP). There were also eight men who were detained and asked whether these men were also similarly branded?
Such action cannot be condoned by right thinking Malaysians and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms. No religion teach its followers to treat another fellow human beings in such manner. Its derogatory, inhumane, and a gross violation of human rights.
Me thinks the police have been given too much ropes and are getting more arrogant without anymore care for their SOP.
