Soi Lek and his Deputy, Tiong Lai in the MCA have really put themselves and the whole MCA to shame for denying that the police had shot water canon and tear gas into the Tung Shin hospital compound. even though there were video, photographic and creditable human witnesses who said otherwise.
Chua said the situation should be viewed “in totality”, pointing out that the police would be accused of not doing their job had they decided against dispersing the crowd of protesters that had run into the hospital." So if the protestors were to hold the patients or staff as hostages, you would also recommend that the police rush in. Is it, my dear doctor?
You call yourself a doctor and the President of MCA, read the Geneva Convention with regards to the sanctity of the hospital. Moreover did the protestors hold any patient or anyone to ransom? If a person who is hurt and cannot get assistance from a hospital, then where then can he get help? from the police? What were they doing when Baharuddin was struggling for life? I suggest you spend the next 7/24 watching all the videos and photographs on the Bersih rally. Read also the write-ups and experiences of those who attended the rally and if you are still not touched by their stories, you must really have a heart of stone. Maybe you should allow your children access to all these and then ask them for their reactions.
