Do the UMNO Malays know what is Face Saving?

Face saving is a very imporant aspect of any race culture, especially to the oriental people. Losing face will bring disgrace to the family, and if you are from a well-known family, the disgrace and dishonour may bring tragedy. The Japanese. especially, shows how it is to lose face and harakiri is one way out for them. However another less horrible way is for those who have done wrong or brought disgrace, to voluntarily resign from their posts. The Malays too place great emphasis on face saving. However this doesn't seem to apply to the umno Malays. We have read of so many exposures of corruption, abuse of power and mismanagement, and yet the people involved are still holding onto their posts. And even when convicted, they still screamed that they are victims of conspiracy or people out to topple them.  Among those recent ones who have 'lost face' are Zahrihat (cowgate), Khir Toyol,  Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom (abuse of RM32,150 in zakat money), Deputy Finance Minister, Awang Adek Hussin (depositing cash contributions into his own account), and others who are being investigated by the MACC.
What's wrong with these people? Dont' they know the meaning of shame? or most probably the sign of the ringgit, in millions, simply blocked whatever shame they have.
And have you ever realised that most of these top corrupted leaders  are not the pure Malays, but 'celup' Malays. Khir Toyol is an Indonesian by birth and Zahrihat and Mahathir were Mamaks. So what does this mean? It simply means that the pure Malays are being conned by foreigners who came, convert into Muslims, conquer and 'rampas' whatever belongs to the Malays. Sure there are Malays who have also 'rampas', but they are only following the edict "what monkeys see, monkeys do" , and their 'rampasan' are peanuts. People like Mohamed Ghani Abdul Jiman of Penang (another mamak) who has been given a life-long task of bringing down Lim Guan Eng and Ibrahimm Ali are only foot soldiers, given peanuts to create diversions, so that the big guys at the top can have smooth passages to stash up treasures both in the country as well as overseas. (remember Taib and Zahrihat?). What do these people know about "Face Saving"?

Umno's version of Transformation.

Here we go again. This time its about the appointment of a muslim which was not in the list submitted, as Head of Bukit Nanas Convent. The umno government creates the isssue, the church is not happy and opposes, and in comes Perkasa and other religious bigots and accuse the Christians for trying to control the country and for underminding the authority of the muslims. Why dont they, the govt. just follow the normal practice of selecting a candidate from the list submitted by the church? If we look back, all past religious conflicts were started by the govt. by changing the normal practices. The 'Allah' issue has not been an issue for umpteen years since Independence, until the Akbar fellow came out with a ruling. And where is he now? but sitting comfortably as Chairman of Land Public Transport commission after creating the mess. There was also a non issue regarding the Christian community helping others (including non-Christians) by giving aid in various forms. It then suddenly became an issue and what is worse, the Christians are accused of using these aid methods to prosthelytizing the muslims. I appeal to all sensible muslims to think of the following.
a)The Christians make up only 10% of the population b) The police, the army and the Navy are controlled by the Malays under Umno, c) The judiciary and the MACC have no minds of their own, d) most of the giant corporations are in the hands of the Malays. So how on earth can the non-malays, especially the Christians take over the country and instal a Christan Prime Minister.  People who entertain such a scenerio either belongs to the loony asylum or they are bent on causing trouble. They just couldn't be bothered with what happens to the country.

Umno/BN culture - You must be grateful for what we give you.

The quality of the umno leaders is really getting from bad to worse. The right hand really does not know what the left hand is doing. They have no qualms when they criticise the oppositions, but when it is the other way round,  they cry like babies. Take for the instance the case of the Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Noh Omar. He said the opposition's action of linking him to the production of a video clip that insulted hudud law was evil, to destroy his credibility as a leader in Selangor.
He further added that the wild accusation was a conspiracy by the opposition to link him to sensitive issues and that "They (opposition) have no more issues, so they resort to making personal attacks against (Barisan Nasional) leaders, especially me in Selangor, to tarnish my credibility so that the people will lose trust in my leadership."
Aren't those exactly the kind of accusations and statements the umnos have been using against the Oppositions?
Then we have the Minister who not only turned his back on a Chief Minister but also became a coward for not going on the submarine dive. The perception he has given to the public is that he doesn't even trust his own submarine to surface again. Hence he chickened out.
With one breath, he said "the various aids given out were merely to carry out the government's responsibility to assist the poor besides appreciating their contributions towards the government and to fulfill the promise, 'people first', pledged by the present administration."
In the next breath, he "expressed disappointment with the attitude of the opposition leaders who called on their supporters to accept whatever aid dished out by the government but did not teach them to be grateful for the assistance"
I suppose he can be excused for not realisng his contradictory statements due to his poor standard of the English language.
First he said the aid given out was the government's responsibility, and "we give out regardless of the (recipients') party, " Very true, as what is given out is from our hard earned money, and why should we be grateful for that?,  and why should we vote umno/bn into power again, especially after the exposure of tons of evidences of corruption (Toyol mansion), misuse of funds (Cowgate scandal), injustice (TBH), police brutality (Bersih 2 protest), and many, many more,  Truly, the bn/umno culture of forced gratitude is an issue which all Malaysians should be wary of.
Not only has umno taken the lead, MCA has also followed this trend. The Negri Sembilan MCA chief, Dr. Yeow Chai Thiam has also brought shame not only to the Chinese culture but also the medical profession. He chastised MP Teo Nie Ching for being late in showing  gratitude to the MCA for helping her critically ill mother. So it has now come down to this. If you receive anything from bn/umno, you better find ways and means to show your gratitude.

Warlord and Godfather

What is this bickering over the words "warlord" and "Godfather" between the DAP chief Karpal Singh and the Penang Deputy chief, Ramasamy? Oooops! did I say 'chief'. Far from being 'chiefs', they are behaving more like 'cheapskate' laughing stocks. The umnos and its BN counterparts must be laughing all the way to the toilets to rid themselves of their diarrhoea attacks. Sheeeesh! what kind of leaders are these people? and they want to take over Putrajaya. Karpal, where is your magnanimity as a leader? True "the party would not be around without the sacrifices of such leaders, and leaders of today won't be leaders without the veterans ." Do you understand the saying that the moment you say you are humble, you are no more humble? So it is the same with your statement. The moment you brag about your sacrifices, you are no longer a true leader. And how can you insult a Deputy CM by asking "who is this Ramasamy?"
And Ramasamy, where is your respect for your leaders, especially when they are your elders? Didn't you parents teach you to respect your elders? Your action so far has been due to your pride, and pride has been the cause of the downfall of many leaders. After trading all the insults, you want to extend a handshake in full view of the public.
Please lah don't be a hypocrite.
Incidentally, why are the words "warlord" and "Godfather" given such bad connotations? I thought "godfather' is an honorable person
I was asked to be the Godfather to the son of a close friend. It is an honour and I feel proud of it, as the friend has put his trust and faith in me to keep an eye on his son.
As for 'warlord', there are good warlords and bad warlords, depending on what cause you are fighting for. So it really boils down to who is using the words and to whom  the words are directed at. And this depends on the relationship between the two parties. Obviously there is bad blood between Karpal and Ramasamy, hence they take offence at the words. And to bicker over such an issue reflects the quality of leaders that are going to take over Putrajaya. Any difference with the present lot?

The Nobodies are making noise.

Lately there have been a number of unknown 'worms' crawling out of the woodwork to make their presence felt. This happens to booth sides  of the political divide. The only possible reason for this is probably due to the fact that the various parties will be selecting their candidates for the coming General Election. So if you make some kind of a noise, eventhough it may be a stupid ones, you are drawing the attention of the leaders.Lets see the kinds of stupid issues they rake up. From the DAP in Penang, we have people like A. Krishnan. G.Asoghan. M. Yoganathan, D.Kandasamy, P. Thiagarajan and R. Rayer. And what issue did they stir? Godfather and Warlord! and warning that hell would break loose, if DCM Ramasamy did not apologise to Karpal Singh. Come on, unless you are all trojan horses, you dont deserve to be leaders of the party if you allow such trivial matters to disrupt the harmony of the party. The umno/bn goons are just waiting for such opportunities to claim that the party is in disarray.
Lets take the advice of the Selangor DAP. that "they should no longer wash our dirty linen in public" and should "save their energy for a bigger battle against the Barisan Nasional in the upcoming general election".
Then from the MCA, we have Chew Lian Keng who demanded Lim Guan Eng's resignation as Penang Chief Minister over an oveplayed Hudud issue. Who the hell does he think he is to ask LGE to letak jawatan? He must be sleeping not to realise the success and progress LGE has brought to Penang.
Next we have the Penang MCA secretary, Lau Chiek Tuan who slammed LGE's government for not giving priority to the building of affordable homes, but spend time on mega projects to ease traffic congestion. But isn't traffic jam a big problem in Penang?
Who are these "worms" who suddenly become so vocal, and over trivial and unimportant issues.
Please we want to know how we can stretch our ringgit, we want to know why the government is closing both eyes on corruption, why the police has double standards in applying the law, why the MCA, MIC and other component parties of BN are losing their voices over the wrong doings of the umnos. Come on, let us have a certain degree of quality and conscientiousness in our so-called leaders.

UMNO decides whether you break the law or not!

The SUN reported that the Health Ministrt Director, Datuk Hasan Abdul Rahman as saying that the suppliers of the KR1M which mislabelled their products would not be charged. So it has now come to this. Just like the Cow & Condo case, the law is once again put aside to protect those who know umno. No wonder everyone in umno is breaking the law with impunity, and they are getting bolder by the day.
So mislabelling a product is not a crime, although the Food Act 1983 and the Food Regulations 1985 clearly stipulate that both providing inaccurate information and mislabelling are offences punishable with fines and jail sentences. But what is that to umno, when past cases have shown that selective prosecution and persecution is a norm in the present umno government.
The rampant abuse of power is too evident to be ignored, and there doesn't seem to be any let up. In fact, if BN/Umno is returned to power, we are not only giving them absolute power , but we are also signing the death warrant of our beloved country.
