Najib - A Man's Word is His Bond

A phrase attributed to Miguel de Cervantes is: “An honest man’s word is as good as his bond.”
But sad to say our Prime Minister, Najib,  fails miserably to live up to such honourable quality. He is neither honest, especially to his people, and his words were just empty gongs designed to hood-wink his own  rakyat.
It is also said that reputation is what men see, but character is what God sees. But here again, Najib has again failed miserably. Men sees no reputation in him and as for character, well I'll let God decide.
What reputation do you see in a man  when his flip-flopping policies have become his trademark. His flip-flop antics are not mere accusations but were widely reported in the BN-owned media.
His latest was"I did not say we want to abolish quotas, but I said we cannot be too reliant on them. Bumiputra entrepreneurs must be independent, willing to work hard to compete with others so we are better respected.  I absolutely did not say that quotas will be abolished,"
However this was in contrast to what he said earlier, quote " "We want to do away with quotas, but we will support bumiputera entrepreneurs to grow. If we give quotas, they will rest on their laurels and not gain expertise to manage their businesses,"
A lot of folks nowadays wouldn't know what was meant by "his bond", but one would expect, a Prime Minister who is also a well-known leader to know the impact of he utters.
President Obama once said "The way to make government responsible is to hold it accountable and the way to hold it accountable is to make it transparent so that the American people can know exactly what decisions are being made, how they are being made and whether their interests are being well-served." Substitute American for Malaysian.
I would further add that Najib spend sometime, nay, lots of time, to meditate on " a man's word is his bond"
And in the meantime, I'll take whatever goodies to be offered by Najib with a ton of salt.

Another Blow to our Judicial Image

First there was this lawyer trying to strangle himself to show how a person can strangle himself to death with his own hands. He then had the cheek to question the credibility of an international renown pathologist. Now, in the trial of Anwar sodomy trial, we have another lawyer, also putting in his feeble attempt to discredit a top scientist, whose field of expertise is in the field of DNA. He slammed the defence foreign expert witness, Dr Mcdonald for not having undergone any formal training in forensic DNA testing. The Solicitor-general II Mohd Yusof Zainal Abiden, also said that Dr Brian McDonald's qualification obtained in 1992 was obsolete because the field of DNA had undergone big developments since 2002.  So by his own reasoning, no one should consult doctors who qualified in 1992 as the field of medicine had undergone great development since then. Infact all professionasl who qualified years ago should not be allowed to carry out their profession now. By the way, Mohd. Yusof, when did you get your law degree? Are you sure you have kept abreast with the latest development in law?
For goodness sake, our international image has sucken so badly that it is an embarrassment to say we are Malaysians when we are in foreign land.

Prof. Khoo -It's YOU who are distorting our History!

Speaking at a forum in Ipoh (the Star, 10 Sept. '11)  Prof. Khoo Kay Khim claimed that that " the British never ruled the country, but had merely taken over the administration of our country". He maybe a historian but he definitely is no English language expect.  He blamed the week education system for teachers as well as students for not understanding the "proper terms used in the study of history". I suppose it is also because of the week education system that has resulted in his poor understanding of the English language. "Never ruled",  but had the power to ban - please explain the contradictions.
So the British came and took over the administration of the country and the Sultans meekly allowed them to do so. Hello ! Where are you UMNOs? Where are you Ibrahim Ali and Mahathir? You gonna allow this to go down in history? that the Malays did nothing and simply allowed the British to walk over them? Then how come the British could ban the many Malay movements such as PKMM, API, AWAS and Hizbul Muslimin as they were considered  communist movements? So Prof, the British never ruled, but they can ban. So we can similarly say that the present government, that is BN, does not
rule but just administer the country, right? So as a  learned professor, do you think umno is just administering the country now? By your own reasoning, I suppose you should say "yes", but in reality we are practically a police state. And yes, one more thing, if we were not under British rule, than who are we celebrating 'Merdeka" from? It's YOU who are distorting our History. For goodness sake, have a spine and tell it as it is.

The Future of Malaysia is in OUR hands NOW!!!

By now, all right thinking Malaysisians (I mean RIGHT THINKING ones) should know that our beloved country is no more what it was once used to be. The BN goons and their apple polishers could not be bothered what our country has become, torn and tattered by racial and religious harmony. So many articles have been written about the good old days where we once lived together, colour-blind to the colour of our skin and the sound of our names. But to say that those who are responsible (especially the UMNOS)  for the present state of affairs, are not aware of the situation, is not true either. Unless they are empty up in their heads, they are totally and fully aware of what is happening. But after 54 years of clinging to power, and having ingrained in their minds that their power is guaranteed, they will resort to any means to retain this power, as amplified by the PM's warning of " crush bodies & lives lost". The accumulation of documents on the dirt and corruption must be a cause for concern  as they are going to scramble to buy extra shredded machines and find time to destroy these documents should Pakatan take over after 13 GE. What happened in Selangor after the 12 GE is going to happen on a big scale, this time round.
Iskandar Dzulkanain (bless this man) has written a  piece as to what would happen if Pakatan takes over. You can read this here. Let us all pray that it is not just a dream , but the light at the end of the tunnel. God Bless Malaysia!!
